Sacred Ukara
This picture displays an ancient cloth with the finest and the oldest artistic designs in the world. It is a reserve of the Sacred Ekpe Cult. The Ukara is popular among the Igbos, Ibibios, and especially the Aro and Efik people. Despite its popularity, only the senior members of the Sacred Ekpe Cult can read, understand and interpret the sacred symbols drawn on the Ukara. The symbols tell the history of the ancient people. |
When Europeans came to us, they saw the Ukara but never understood it. They thought we could not write, so they started writing our history in their own perspective.
Arochukwu TV condemns all Aro history written by White Historians. They know nothing about our origin and sophisticated lifestyle, therefore have no authority, whatsoever, to tell the Aro history. After all, #History is #His story, therefore, he (the Aro man) should tell of Himself.
We apologize for the use of the White man's language. We use it out of sympathy for our audience who are not Umuchukwu (Children of God) by birth, as a result, cannot understand us when we speak or write in our sacred heavenly language (Akpaali Aro).
